    Got drill?

Got rid of my trusty old Dodge a while back. 2 months short of owning for 6 full years and I put just a bit over 10K miles on it.

Replaced it with this old girl:

I've never really had much use for a mobile radio as my work commute is so short. Since we're going to do more camping this year and go further than we have in the past, I decided to get a good dual band radio for the truck.

So I spent my Saturday with a friend who had access to a place where we could do an install.

I am surprised at such a sudden deterioration in a woman whose only ailment was a lazy anus.

Sometimes when you drill holes in the roof of your truck, it helps to have a special sort of lubricant.

In any event, everything went as well as could be expected.

Got the Tm-D710 installed. Can't see my red whacker light behind the control head. Nuvi 350 will go in this week after the Gtrans cable arrives from Argent. Also still need to figure out the particulars on where to mount the mic hangers. For now they can sit in the drink holders.

Wow, 6 years and 10,000 miles? I think I walk further than that. The new ride looks nice. Good luck with the install. Remember, they make hole plugs in all sizes, so don't be afraid to drill baby drill.

Best way to follow up an install?

Brewery tour followed by an introductory glass of a beer being released that afternoon. Mmmmmmm......

Nice job. I like that truck and wholeheartedly agree with your choice of drilling fluid.

    Very cool.

That's a large mean machine. Diesel?

I just got a dual bander from some disreputable Islander that I'm going to put in my trusty 95 Sable wagon. That will increase the value of the car by 3X.

10K in 6 years? We do at least 22K in a year. Of course, there are no other transportation options in most places in the South. Charlotte and Atlanta have quite a bus system but around here, buses don't go beyond downtown and you can walk that in a few minutes.

Nice looking work. Don't spill that L00b.
