The noise blanker on the Corsair was designed to knock that particular annoyance right the hell out.

That is the first video I have ever seen of someone actually climbing it, shot in HD no less. The guys are a couple of goofballs but the array is still amazing even today.

Hell of a qrp antenna. I imagine that a wind gust from the right direction generates harmonics.

Interesting. During the last couple of minutes, it looked like they were filming in Detroit.

I love the way they call it the Russian "HAARP". Only difference is HAARP is neither classified nor secret. Matter of fact many corporate, private, and academics perform research at HAARP and HAARP is open to the public at certain times of year.

Drake 7-line blanker did a good job with the Woodpecker, as did the R-71's and R-5000's.

Thing was annoying, that's for sure.

I remember how annoying it was. Fortunately good filtering kept it at bay most of the time. Bit sometimes it was a royal PITA,

I suspect that was because the guys that designed those Drakes, also designed a few TTs.
Assuming my recollection of what I've been told in the past is accurate.
