I have one more question.I am learning code and want to buy a cheap CW 40 meter transeiver(if there is such a thing)Looking at catalogs I see the term side tone.Can someone tell me what that means?
Also anything else I need to watch for.

It's a feature that allows you to hear what you are sending.
