    "It's not a,a , a, big truck! It's a series of tubes. You put something in, and it gets slowed down..."

    And this guy design policies surrounding the internet. In all fairness, it kinda is like a series of tubes, or as I say, "Fat Pipes".

    Disclaimer: I change the server ident tags of all boxens I run to "Fat Tube" or "Big Pipe"; and denote versions in inches. :)

    well true. While they are not the same the analogy of data flowing through the internet is somewhat analogous to a fluid flow through pipes as per the volume of fluid that can pass a given point in a pipe per unit time. If we thong of the "data" as a fluid and the medium comprising the networks as passages of varying sides through which our "data-fluid" can flow.
