    One time at the drags , I saw the Flywheel /pressure plate in a Corvette come apart. Went through the stock bellhousing, through the floorboards, and out the windshield and roof. I always used a Lakewood after that.

    Hey George, remember that incident on I-95 (shortly after it opened) 60s I guess. In the Richmond area of Philly. Some flatbed rig hauling a couple semi-dismantled autos southbound lost a torque convertor from one of the cars. It bounced once, came back up into oncoming traffic, through a guy's windshield and severed his head completely off?
    Pretty gruesome but I'll never forget it. Think a Lakewood would have helped?
