    Well, there was the poet Ezra Pound, a profound anti-semite and supporter of European fascism. And don't forget Richard Wagner, either.

    But, for the most part, art is a direct threat to conservatism.
    All the world’s a stage, but obviously the play is unrehearsed and everybody is ad-libbing his lines. Maybe that’s why it’s hard to tell if we’re living in a tragedy or a farce.
