Living so close to the Mexican border, I traverse those sort of check points fairly regularly. What the guy's video failed to demonstrate is that he actually spent more time there with his little spiel than he would have if he'd just cooperated with the Border Patrol agent. Most of the time, if it's obvious that you're a native English speaker, you barely spend enough time there for your car to come to a complete stop.

I know this is not technically the same, but on re entering the USA twice I have stacked my nasty, dirty undies at the top of the suitcase, and the bag inspectors have given no more than 3 seconds of looking when those nasties greet them at the top of the suitcase. Works every time! Hides Cubano cigars!
