Nice gear. Your carpentry skills could use a little work, though![]()
All the world’s a stage, but obviously the play is unrehearsed and everybody is ad-libbing his lines. Maybe that’s why it’s hard to tell if we’re living in a tragedy or a farce.
My wife wouldnt go for this.
In fact, we are seriously downscaling our lives massively and considering living in an RV or camper full time, i will only have room for the most basic gear that can be torn down and stowed. Like...K3, extendable painters pole/dipole or mini-beam, small tuner and key.
I am also getting rid of my old gear, restoration projects and small key collection....(Pat...if you are reading this;))
The louder the monkey, the smaller its balls.
The things that stand out to me the most about the W6VM shack....the cash, coins, keys and chew, my desk is a catch-all as well....and the way you can always tell a legit ham...duct tape!![]()

NOW THATS FUNNY, YEAP ITS A MESS DOWN HERE BUT, I AM BUILDING A NEW DESK FOR ALL THE RADIO JUNK
two things from most shack photos amaze me. the stacks of stuff *so high* ... clearly most of you don't live in an earthquake zone. also, no easy way to get behind stuff to rejigger connections when required. (i have my stuff on a heavy-duty cart--roll it out and everything in the back is accessible).
