And how sad that a lot of stuff I heard in AM just before FM I never thought to record for posterity. Not the songs, but the stuff the DJ's would do.

I'd especiallly love a recording of Lee Alan's sign-off on WXYZ.
If it's a war on drugs, then free the POW's.

Your post got me to google "Lee Alan's sign-off on WXYX" Finding little, I decided to Google the station I listened to as a kid in NE Pennsylvania, "WARM Radio, The Mighty 590".
As I have gotten older (Middle Aged), and sicker, I have been thinking about my chlildhood, and how much I miss PA. I was very excited to see that WARM Radio has a website dedicated to the WARM Radio from the 1960s and 1970s which is when I was listening. So many memories. And you know I was using my Portable Reel to Reel to record the music!

    Part 2:

My father raced at the old Pocono Drag Lodge in the 60s and 70s. Mom and Dad had an old 8MM movie camera and would film many of his races. In 2004 Dad found some of the old 8MM films (many had not survived) and had them converted to DVD. I took the DVD and used Movie editing software and separated the Drag Racing scenes from Christmas and road trip scenes and posted them to YouTube.

Today I found that WARM Radios nostalgia website used that video! Wanna see me as a kid? I'm at the end of the video:

Scroll down to "POCONO DRAG LODGE REUNION" First video.

Caution, This was my first (and last) attempt at video editing....turn your speakers down....I couldn't figure out how to get rid of the canned music
