"Don't put it on the plate if you can't eat it!"
I'm not but two of my area buddies who are Island members are VEs. I'll let them out themselves when they log in again.

My creds all expired 6 years ago and I haven't bothered renewing them. I would have to drive between 40 and 60 miles one way nowadays to be able to fulfill that commitment.
Like that post was...
Moving on, my posts are not helpful
<------ I am a VE check the callsign out ....does that count?
Why,driving into a brick wall at 60 miles per hour, would I expect it not to hurt!
Walk and Talk like a Canajun!!
I'm not a V.E., but I was at the nations very first VE exam in Anchorage in 1984 with Wilse, KL7CQ, the first VE. Passed my 20 wpm, but still didn't upgrade. That came at the states second exam in Fairbanks.
I figured its VE history, why not?
The louder the monkey, the smaller its balls.
I would encourage you and any Generals and Extra classes to get VE credentials, it is so rewarding to watch new hams and even upgrading hams coming into the ranks to keep our hobby alive, going and growing. My favorite people to test are children and the looks on their faces when they pass. The younger hams are the next generations to "keep it going"
