I have one TEMPO 2020, that is quite enough!
He is smoking dope if he thinks he will get $2000 for that!! Only one works

I like the part where he says 'getting out of ham radio". With that pile-o-shit, he never really got into it.
He probably got the TEMPOS in an estate sale, and THOUGHT he could fix them. He failed, That is why he is giving up Ham Radio. Kinda like if I bought an old clunker car and tried to fix it. I would give up AUTO REPAIR in a hurry!
Oh those wonderful chicken band rice burners with sliders so you can splatter over all 400 extree channels and beyond. In the words of Will Smith as he took off for the mother ship; I gotta git me one of THESE!

A golden screwdriver and a head full of mush only makes a truck stop technician expert at tweakin' an' peakin. It don't mean a thang if it ain't got that swang, peakin' out at 200 doo wa doo wa Dosey watts!

The Tempo 2020's were OK radios, if not butchered.
Putting them on 11 was easy. Like "other" Yaesus.
Less likely to be butchered.

Have you ever seen a Cee Bee that wasn't butchered if you didn't buy it new? I had an FT-101EE that needed some work, made some extender boards and in a couple of days it was on the air. With little SSB activity and not being keen on derived AM at reduced power I sold it for a nice profit and went back to my main set, a Ranger with audio modifications and National radio NC-173 receiver. My last station when the band went to hell was a scratchy Apache and mating Mohawk receiver, both modified. Sure beats the hell out of a leenyar. (;->)
