You are humming along,
With your CW song!
Last number in RST is tone...
Tone
The T stands for "Tone". Tone is used only used in Morse code and digital transmissions and is therefore omitted during voice operations. With modern transmitter technology, imperfections in the quality of the transmitter modulation that can be detected by humans are rare. Tone is measured on a scale of 1 to 9.[4]
1. Sixty cycle a.c or less, very rough and broad
2. Very rough a.c., very harsh and broad
3. Rough a.c. tone, rectified but not filtered
4. Rough note, some trace of filtering
5. Filtered rectified a.c. but strongly ripple-modulated
6. Filtered tone, definite trace of ripple modulation
7. Near pure tone, trace of ripple modulation
8. Near perfect tone, slight trace of modulation
9. Perfect tone, no trace of ripple or modulation of any kind

It's not CW. All reports are given on ssb during contests. Does it have something to do with location?
CQWW contest - RS + Zone. That would explain the 5 at the end. Zone 5. The US is mostly in zones 3, 4 and 5.
Here's a zone map:
Tnx Rob, seems I remember it being location last year or so when a contest was on.
I guess the number zone is yours and not the station you are contacting?
Is there a better map somewhere?

You give them your Zone, they give you theirs.
...and then you guess their zone a few times while asking for clarification, but, only after giving them a 5/9 signal report.
I'm sitting this one out. Shack computer is playing mind games with me and I don't feel like writing everything down and entering it later.
So, it's official. I'm rotten.

Please don't confuse my personality with my attitude. My personality is obviously me, But my attitude depends largely upon you.
Sorry about that. If I had known it was SSB... Not paying attention.
