Lots of illegal cabbies there, as well as a host of other "ute" stuff to listen to. If I'm reading 'NH's and 'IZE's comments correctly, the spectrum has pretty much been abandoned in that area by Part 95 users.

A -7R would definitely be worth taking. Put that puppy in "search" mode on the VHF/UHF ranges and have fun...it's a vx-7r ... not sure about 26-30MHz.
