I appreciate all the suggestions. I haven't bought anything yet (still not really on my feet yet to work on stuff like that). I'll let you know what I ultimately end up with. The Jetstream sounds intriguing for the price. I don't care about metering. I could add my own metering if I wanted to anyway.

I have a couple of Astrons of various sizes and I hate them all. They are noisy pieces of crap and I guess I fell for the hammy hype like a lot of the lids here did apparently. :P
