This right here, with a turbo:

I like the mid-shift controls instead of the 'Rod's normal forwards. Only beef with this bike is that it's doesn't have an inverted fork but Storz and Meanstreet (among others) can fix that.

You wouldn't be seeing much of it except for the taillight. I'll make sure to fit something neat...LED, perhaps.

Lose the forwards and that 240-series back tire. It makes an otherwise capable motorcycle handle like a pig through the turns:

I obey the speed limit. If I am driving it then it will never see over 65mph anyway.

Well you're smarter than a lot of the ones I've seen on COPS :)

I've thought about getting a bike and stuff, but every time I start to think seriously I see some idiot on one doing something stupid (and the adverse reaction) or the simple fact that most drivers don't watch for bikes.

So, I dunno. Its not possible right now anyway, though I've heard prices have fell.

I really like my '06 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 fi. Shaft drive, car-like maintenance, and carries the XYL and me up and down the Rockies. It's a bit piggy in the corners, especially with a passenger and stuffed saddlebags, but it's a joy to ride.

For zipping around Longmont, I like borrowing the XYL's little Vespa ET-2 (50cc). Even with my bulk sitting in the saddle it'll do 40mph on the flats.

I agree. I hate the looks of those things.
On the other hand, my bosses son is selling this. I kind of like the retro look. Check out dem wide whites.
