I haven't even looked at prices lately.

But I know every time I drive by on the freeway in front of the local dealer (Eagles Nest HD) they don't have many in the parking lot.

When I bought my Harley it had an aftermarket seat on it. The guy also threw in the stock seat. I noticed that the passenger pad could be removed from the stock seat, So I took off the pad and used just the main saddle. Now almost all of the rear fender is exposed, giving it a real retro look that I like. What do you guys think, cool beans or what?

On a bike board which I frequent, one member posted today that Harley is considering closing its York, PA plant. That's where the Softails and touring bikes are built ... :-|

But people ALWAYS seem to come up with the money for a bike, even when they let a lot of other things slip. Like food for their kids...a new car...a house payment. I've seen it time and again: Guy living in a run-down trailer which doesn't have the proverbial pot to pi$$ in has a nice, shiny new Road King parked next to it.

Heck, I ought to be making a bit of commission on all the sales I sent the way of our local dealership in the last 6 months. Three brand new Ultras and a Road King Classic.

Perhaps they're going to have to cut prices a bit to remain competitive? :think

Probably the only reason they are having issues is because they can't get credit when they let the other things slip :)
