Has anyone here streamed live audio from your rig (not IRLP or Echolink) over the internet?

I run a standard RCA to 1/8" audio cable from the aux output on the back of my rig to the sound card input on my computer.
I have an application in Linux on that computer called Darkice which connects to a server I have hosted on the Internet at a colocation site. That server runs Icecast, which is a streaming server application.
People connect to Icecast using a standard MP3 player, and that's that.
Well I use Windows Vista so dark ice wouldn't help me.
