    Kenwood Model R-300

    I picked up (won) a beautiful Kenwood Model R-300 on Ebay for $61. I expected it to be a basket case but it works beautifully and has a lot of ways to fine tune and optimize a signal.

    Why? I don't know. It was $61 and I took a gamble. No AC hum. Everything works. I connected it to a 50' wire and I could hear everyone. The lamps were replaced with LEDs. The interior is immaculately clean. The exterior isn't brand new but it is beautiful. Handles and feet are fully intact.

    Anyone else here have any experience with this radio?

    All the world’s a stage, but obviously the play is unrehearsed and everybody is ad-libbing his lines. Maybe that’s why it’s hard to tell if we’re living in a tragedy or a farce.
