I have tried my hand at drawing without success, not at your level. Rudimentary stuff, I'm your guy.

Thinking about it, I guess that part of my brain that has those talents got burnt out in the great purge of 1978. You have 'the knack' indeed.

Nice work up there in the above posts! I pretty much gave up pen and pencil and paint and film and went full digital right around 2000. It's nice to see someone still following in the footsteps of the old masters. :)

Thanks for your kind comments, but I don't consider myself an artist. I'm just a guy that had fun dragging a pencil over pieces of paper.
Like the 4 year old who can play Mozart on the piano...For me, drawing just seemed natural and easy.
Three years ago, I had a stroke that took out my right hand. I couldn't even hold a pencil.
I am primarily a CW operator and have had to "rehabilitate" my brain, so that I'm now back to sending 30 wpm.
It was fun drawing...but I have "character flaw"... My interest, is in learning something new.
Once I reach (what I think) is a level of competence or proficiency, I get bored and want to move on to something new.
That seems to be my same pattern, whether it's playing a musical instrument, building and flying my own airplane, or dragging a pencil over paper. The challenge is learning something new.

Real "artists" create things (like this web site) and stick with it year after year, making it better and giving those of us who feel "misfit" a place to express ourselves. Now that's art!
