So it looks like there's an attempt to form another National Amateur Radio organization, as a counterpoint to the ARRL. Will they succeed? Odds are not in their favor, but we'll see.
The group is called the National Amateur Radio Alliance, and their website is https://www.amateurradioalliance.org/ .
Free membership through June is currently being offered, and clearly they're still organizing things.
But already they've gotten a "Cease & Desist" type letter from ARRL. They object to the use by NARA of the phrase "A National Association For Amateur Radio Operators", on the grounds that "The National Association for Amateur Radio" is phrase trademarked by the ARRL. [ I'm not enough of a legal scholar to know if the wording is different enough to pass muster. ]
The letter can be found at https://www.amateurradioalliance.org...RRL_Letter.pdf
This might be interesting. We shall see.
