    Well it looks like I got a TS-570D instead, and for cheaper. Initial testing so far puts everything at 100%.
    Now to open the cover and move one jumper over for the AM broadcast band and longwave receive. If it's still in its factory configuration, moving the jumper over opens up the receive from 1700khz and down.
