The Great Grandfather of Microsoft Copilot

Here's a bit of horrible nostalgia... for at least some of us with long memories...

I'm currently in the middle of a demonstration/introduction for Microsoft Copilot, the new "AI Interface" for Office 365. (Mandatory, not by my choice)

They just mentioned that the great grandfather of Copilot is...

    Clippy.

    Yes. THAT Clippy.

Microsoft just can't let go of a bad idea, can they?

    Clippy was evil personified.
All the world’s a stage, but obviously the play is unrehearsed and everybody is ad-libbing his lines. Maybe that’s why it’s hard to tell if we’re living in a tragedy or a farce.

"I see you are badmouthing Microsoft. Would you like some help with that?"
