    IC7100 Mobile - opinions?

I am considering the IC7100 for mobile use. The radio is dated but seems like a good option for small space and normal ham operating. I aoso have the FT891 but would like something that also has v/uhf.

Any opinion on this rig mobile or otherwise? Tnx K4IM

One of the locals has one in his Hummer. Uses a Tarheel on a hitch mount for HF.

Loves the setup. It works well on 40/75 and all the VHF/UHF stuff he does.

The IC-7100 is a good rig, if you can find one. Last time I checked, Icom had stopped manufacturing them because many of the parts were no long made.
All the world’s a stage, but obviously the play is unrehearsed and everybody is ad-libbing his lines. Maybe that’s why it’s hard to tell if we’re living in a tragedy or a farce.
