    I see article in the radio mags, specifically QST, where a ham builds a multi-band transceiver, and uses a CNC machine to cut the chassis, face plate and enclosure. It usually goes something like "for this project I designed the faceplate of my homebrew rig on the spray master 5000 CNC/laser machine". That's nice and all and if you have one good for you, but it just seems the soul or ham radio has been replaced by technology and credit cards.

    Likewise.

    FT8 is fun, but 4BDXCC with an HW-8 is both challenging and doable. As is 8BDXCC if you have a second HW-8 and convert it to 30-17-12-10 or 160-30-17-12.
