    Seriously, if you never saw the first installment of Pee-wee’s Playhouse, you need to watch it sometime. It was hilarious, not to mention totally subversive.

    CORRECTION: It wasn’t the first installment of Pee-wee’s Playhouse, it was the HBO special based on his stage show, The Pee-wee Herman Show.

    All the world’s a stage, but obviously the play is unrehearsed and everybody is ad-libbing his lines. Maybe that’s why it’s hard to tell if we’re living in a tragedy or a farce.
