Amazing — this woman won the Golden Globe race in a sailboat that’s almost as old as mine, and much slower. Of course, my little boat is just a light-displacement coastal cruiser that would never survive a trip like that.

All the world’s a stage, but obviously the play is unrehearsed and everybody is ad-libbing his lines. Maybe that’s why it’s hard to tell if we’re living in a tragedy or a farce.
