Another useful thing I’ve learned about since moving onto a sailboat is Bainbridge sail repair tape. Really useful for a lot of things beyond making a temporary fix to a damaged jib. I used some to repair a blown seam in my laundry bag over a year ago and it’s still hanging in there, even after a number of trips through the washing machine. The bag is very light polyester so I don’t put it through the dryer, which probably helps.
