Actually, no. The Academy must have been on a 7 second delay, so the sound of the slap was never actually broadcast.
I didn’t think Chris Rock’s so-called joke was very funny... it was a little mean, even if that wasn’t the intention. So Will Smith being upset, that’s one thing. But his reaction? Totally uncalled for, totally unacceptable.
