I only know of SKYline News as a FB page. Rightwing(nut) stuff.

    OK, here's some Leftwing(nut) stuff.
Capitol Police loyal to Trump send/banish National Guard troops to live in parking garage. This was done in a bid to give the appearance that it was Joe's idea. Rightwing(nut) media picks up the story and immediately blames Joe. Some congress critters arrive for a photo op with food.
Joe and AOC offer space in their offices. Trump, not to be outdone offers space in his DC hotel.

Not really hard to believe the first sentence in the paragraph above. It is currently being reported that heads are going to roll, especially when it comes out on who gave the order.

I'd just like to take a moment to thank the Trump enablers and the party of Fuck It All Up Our Nation Be Damned, the Grand Old Party, the Republicans for this grand daddy of clusterfucks that is the current situation. Once again, a President from the Democratic party will have to clean up the mess the Republicans have left America and Her citizens in.
Do we start the deprogramming campaign now or do we have to wait until the short term memory loss on the right is blatantly obvious again?

To all the long time conservatives out there, this ain't your daddy's GOP no more. It's long past time to ditch.
If you have a shred of decency left in you, ditch.

If that truly is the GOP today, and nothing changes (or the Party doesn’t split, as I suspect it will), then consider me a RINO.

i will not join the Democratic Party in WPa. They control the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, and most of the immediate surroundings, with ~90% of the registered voters... and have for decades. The political corruption is strong with these.

So if it is a choice between politically corrupt and morally bankrupt, I choose... neither.

But to vote in in the primaries, especially for ballot questions on (amongst other things) tax approvals and state constitutional questions, you MUST belong to a Party. So I will leave my voter registration as is, pending improvements... or another choice.

Today's GOP is the party of Trump/Qanon and whoever else is holding on to authoritarian ideals. They have been the party of Authoritarianism for quite some time. The only thing is that today they no longer hide behind any sense of decency, decorum or make any attempt to hide it. Moscow Mitch is back to his old tricks and will obstruct to his fullest abilities.
As to how it all shakes out and what the GOP ends up being, whatever form it takes, it will always be a shell, American in name only as long as they keep the likes of Ted Cruz and McConnell and the rest of them which have come out of the batter's box swinging the crazy.

In the last couple of days after seeing Joe in action I have regained some of the civic pride I once had as a child when we studied the constitution, the founding fathers and how our government works as well as our role in it as citizens. That was followed up the next year with the Bicentennial and the understanding that America is made up of Her people. People from all different backgrounds and ethnicities, all different colors, shapes and sizes, all working together as One Nation.
    E pluribus unum

    /ˌē ˌplo͝orəbəs ˈ(y)o͞onəm/

    noun
    noun: e pluribus unum

out of many, one (the motto of the US).

We have lost our way to those who have placed their financial interests above the interests of America and Her people and have thus neglected and or rejected their civic duty. Some have even gone as far as to sow division in their pursuit of the bottom line and the exploitation of human nature's WORST aspects thus taking us further backwards in our development as not only humans as a species but as America being that shining beacon on the hill for the rest of the world to see.

So you can see why I as an adult feel that this is NOT the America I was taught about nor is it the America I was promised when looking back over the last 4 years, both Bush presidencies, Reaganism and etc. I was in the 4th grade when the Watergate trials were occurring and although I found often boring, I did manage to watch what I could before I went back outside and tried to return to normal childhood.
I, like many at that time, thought that Watergate was as low as America could go and that I could look forward to America having learned a hard lesson. There was good reason to feel as such since even Nixon's own party rejected him on the grounds of ethics and their own sense of civic duty. Today's GOP has no sense of civic duty or pride in their country. They are only words to be spat out to fall upon the heads of their fervent followers like bovine excreta from the backside of a herd of cattle. There are a lot of things to blame the shaping of the American electorate on and why they would align themselves with the worst that our country has to offer and that's a long discussion for another time but let's just simply start with (and leave there for now) cutting funding for education as the first thing we do when met with tough budget choices instead of looking elsewhere. When you delete the Humanities and the Arts and stick to the 3 R's, reading, writing and rithmatic, you raise generations of people that are capable of running machines and pushing buttons and following directions but are hardly capable of thinking about how they're getting screwed by group A, B or C. Now when group A, B, or C comes on TV with a screaming talking head spewing anger and blaming the less fortunate or LGBTQ or any other group for the woes of America, and the working class have been frustrated for years trying to make ends meet with an ever shrinking quality of life, what do you think they'll do since they see someone that they think is fighting for them?

A phrase comes to mind to describe this thought that is short, sweet and to the point. "Billionaires paying millionaires to tell the middle class that poor people are bring the American economy down."
Basic propaganda 101. Nazis blamed the Jews. Today's GOP blames every person who isn't rich, white and Christian while calling them lazy and making words like socialism and liberalism into big scare words. Another phrase, "Divide and Conquer" is used very often but should never lose its meaning since it holds to be 100% true and has been happening for ages. Old manipulation tactics are new again because there is a class of people all racing to the top of the heap trying to become the first trillionaire (had to add that to the spellcheck dictionary) and their ambition overtakes their humanity just as ambition taken over what humanity the GOP once had.
Like I said before, this ain't your daddy's Grand Old Party.

Let me share with you this link that describes the way Qanon has gone about shaping the thoughts of their followers. Nothing I have said thus far covers ANYTHING in this article. It is an interesting read into what I like to call marketing. It is new and old techniques that really make the average, worn out, working class folks think they've stumbled onto and discovered some secret.

Looks like the Orange Allies are rallying the troops... along partisan lines, of course, because THAT is all that matters... to oppose the 2nd Impeachment. Despite the overwhelming facts in the case.

Figures. Spineless weasels, the lot of them.

Growing number of GOP senators oppose impeachment trial (yahoo.com)

A growing number of GOP senators are afraid the truth about their own elections will come to light. They're hoping that if they can squash a conviction that future charges against Trump and family won't have as much impact and thus less impact on the GOP as a whole.
This is party over country in action and loyalty to a man over their country. Meanwhile, they will go on and on about how the former president is being persecuted by liberals and the media.
An ongoing mantra that their supporters embrace because they've been told for so many years that the liberals are trying to take away their religion.
The GOP has successfully conjoined Religion and Politics and warped the minds of the willing.

US Supreme Court tosses out 2 lawsuits claiming that former President Trump's business dealings violated the Constitution's ban on receiving financial benefits from states or foreign officials.

Trump's court says he did nothing wrong.

Does this mean that President Biden can sell merch? And more? Imagine another GOP president wholesale giving away time and whatever based on this decision.
