If it makes you feel any better, my wife’s mail in ballot came today. It’s for the Democratic primary. She’s voting for Biden.

It can be a bit confusing for me. In our state, primaries are open. No kind of party affiliation required one way or another. There was no primary held to determine a GOP candidate this go round. I'm in South Carolina in case you forgot, not that it matters. Honestly, I'm still surprised that to this day that primaries are still held this way down here.

In a previous open Primary, Trump was unopposed and his supporters suggested a vote for the Democratic candidate who had the least chance. It was pointed out that four years ago Trump was considered the joke candidate.

    That worked well.

It's the same way here. Some years ago, I crossed over to vote against a Republican who was Tea Party before there was a Tea Party, and looked like an undertaker. I don't allow people who look like undertakers to get elected if I can help it. This guy was also extremely weird. I think he lived in a coffin, or something. He was running against one of our better GOP governors, a true moderate, and the last of his kind (he has come out against Trump several times, recently - good man!). I indeed voted for him in the general election too, so I kept it honest.

As noted, the GOP, led by Rush Limbaugh, crossed over and voted for Bernie where they could. This created all sorts of issues.
