Remember, the USFL was kinda successful, until one of the team owners pushed the others to (a) move from the Spring to the Fall and go head-to-head with the NFL, and (b) sue the NFL over rights for stadium usage (rental). Yeah, I know, nobody but Americans (North and Central), Dominicans, Japanese, Cubans and the oddball Canadian care about baseball but this site is based in the United States and the majority of its regular users are Americans.
