    Chuck Berry: 1927-2017

Roll over Beethoven, Chuck is on his way.

All the world’s a stage, but obviously the play is unrehearsed and everybody is ad-libbing his lines. Maybe that’s why it’s hard to tell if we’re living in a tragedy or a farce.

That dude had a MAJOR impact on what we hear today across most genres. Certainly a King in his craft whose influence will last for quite some time.

RIP sir, sad day for those of us left here indeed.

A very long time—perhaps outliving humanity, even. His music (Johnny B. Goode) is on the record attached to the Voyager probe, the first human-made thing to leave the solar system and head to the stars.

RIP, good sir. Your talents will be remembered - and missed.

While I hope Mr. Berry is floating on a cloud somewhere laughing about how life seemed so serious and death so final... that what he did had meaning beyond his own education....

It's getting pretty hard to watch these deaths. It seems such a waste of material. A waste of experience. Also, since it's something that every human being goes through- how could it really be a tragedy?

I'll miss his performances and the comfort of knowing he was in the world.
