Firefox has problems, Opera to the rescue

Been using Firefox for a long time, but lately (during the past year), I have been having problems with it on some websites, Facebook and Google Maps specifically, as these sites bring Firefox to unresponsiveness. And that is even starting in Safe mode.

Yesterday, I downloaded and installed Opera. It copied my bookmarks and settings from Firefox. Browsing is rock solid. All pages rendered quickly and doesn't bog down like Firefox does now.

I looked at the resource use by Firefox and Opera, both went over 1GB, Firefox went unresponsive and crashed, Opera operated without a hitch or slow down. Those who are experiencing similar problems with Firefox, give Opera a try. Firefox and Opera coexists without a problem, so you can have both.

Current version of Opera also has a free VPN.
