I suppose that's one advantage to living here ...

there are *sixty five* repeaters in the reasonably-reachable area, and many of them (including 1.25m and 6m) are pretty active.

i suppose this is a fine substitute for having a social life, right?

Plus, the locals will think you're DX for a while.
All the world’s a stage, but obviously the play is unrehearsed and everybody is ad-libbing his lines. Maybe that’s why it’s hard to tell if we’re living in a tragedy or a farce.

yeah. i thought about that ... most of the repeaters aren't networked (although there is a non-trivial connected repeater network).

You up in Sillyexcuse now? How's that working for ya? Well, besides the obvious repeater/social life comment? I remember your reasoning for going from earlier but wasn't sure if that's working out for you OK.

Best wishes your way man, good luck in the contest, and all that crap. Have fun!

Any ATV repeaters in the area, Henry?

We used to have a couple in the Akron area back in the 70s and 80s. Now, the closest is Columbus - and I seriously doubt I'd even be P2 into that machine from here, even when QRO and with a decent directional array.

    Amateur Television perhaps?

The P-2 thing gave it away, I think. It sounds like something television would do - P, that is. Kinda like an S-2 signal would be for phone.

I dunno, where is the emoji for talking out my ass again?

Correct, Eric. "P" stands for "picture quality".
