May it please be better than 2016 and I don't mean that it should be 2016 on steroids.

Looking out the port-side portlight, watching the first sunrise of 2017. Oddly enough, it looks just like 2016. I think we've been sold a bill of goods.

Oh, well, at least the sun is coming up and God hasn't blacklisted us on the Celestial Server so... Happy New Year!

All the world’s a stage, but obviously the play is unrehearsed and everybody is ad-libbing his lines. Maybe that’s why it’s hard to tell if we’re living in a tragedy or a farce.

My youngest son said,"I'm pumped for 2017!"

    I'm adopting this attitude.

    Happy new year to ya'll!

Sounds like a good attitude to adopt!

It was absolutely dead quiet around here. Not even so much as a firecracker.

The real fireworks, though, were to be found on our county's public safety dispatch channel - continuing all the way through daybreak.

    Happy 2017, everyone.

I fully expected our public safety dispatchers here to be overworked, but that wasn't the case so much. Lucky them, it was relatively quiet this time. A lady did manage to drive into a house though, a self-inflicted victim of amateur alcoholics night. Light damage to the house, car not so much but did manage to abscond herself back over to WA where the local constable took care of it there apparently.

As far as the boom booms; yeah, lots of those but at least no automatic weapons fire as in years past. Booms always freak the critters out, unfortunately.

    Like that post was...
Moving on, my posts are not helpful
