my boat is a 33' islander ketch (sailboat) a one-of-a-kind kinda. my QRP M/M station consists of a HW-8 and an aptly named Argonaut 505, both being stock. on 2m / 70c an HT monitoring the CARA net (from that other island).
prefer to do things the hard way with an old Navy straight key and an old TT banana mic! gonna be on the water for a few days, mostly unplugged but will stay tuned. 73

perhaps Catalina for a "winter" sail or two in Dec / Jan / Feb. since i'm nestled quite nicely in LA harbor with lots of flat water all around, an hour sail to Long Beach or Seal Beach for lunch or just a get-a-way suffices - and also helps scrub off the hull!
