The good doctor considered himself doing them a favor! He had women coming into his office looking to get impregnated using a Russian Roulette method.

Now, I don't know how tall he was, if he was good looking and athletic in his youth but, for sure it could be said by some that, "Because he went to college and Med School and was a practicing M.D., he was a better choice of donors versus an some anonymous (PUN INTENDED) jerk-off'."

As far as the now adult children of the doctor, how can they really have a beef; in the real world, you don't get to choose your parents, the mother's "had to have something going on" to be so desperate as to need the services of a Fertility Specialist; he just raised the odds in the mother's favor by using a sample with proven success. At least, they know who their real father is; it has been said that around about 10% of people really don't know the true identity of their biological fathers. Sociologist say this pervasive infidelity is good because it helps to ensure "Genetic Diversity".
