Looking for a ham-related project for your raspberry pi?

I wanted a TNC for mobile use, that also had an inbuilt GPS unit. The SainSonic AP510 does this well enough, but is only 1W, barely able to get out.

So, I built a script that automagically turns my Raspberry Pi ($35) + Case ($9) + USB GPS ($15) + Wifi Adapter ($7) + USB Sound card ($6) into a Wifi-enabled TNC, with GPS!

The github repo is open, and pull requests are welcome. Once I get a webpage built to manage the direwolf modem, I'll also push that over to direwolf. Maybe even make an option to sub in soundmodem rather than direwolf at some point. Another future feature is enabling and configuring an optional BBS to get installed/configured.

If you have any more Raspberry Pi/Arduino project ideas, let me know. I got a ton of hardware now from the RatShack clearance deals (Basically, a small Radio Shack store in my home), and always looking for inspiration.

I've completed a pretty massive update to the script, and version is bumped up to 0.9.5. A "management interface" of sorts has been built, so you can reconfigure the direwolf instance, and force a reload of it.

That, and there was more cleanup of the script, auto-configuring direwolf with your callsign, which must be provided at the script's invocation. I'd like to get also get some sort of management for the pertinent USB devices, if present (Such as the CAT cable, GPS, etc etc) to better enable one to configure it.
