Sad news. After an 18 month battle with cancer, he's gone. Damn.
He (and all his personas) was amazing, but he'll always be with us. A hero.

Only 69 years old, too—not much older than a lot of us here.
All the world’s a stage, but obviously the play is unrehearsed and everybody is ad-libbing his lines. Maybe that’s why it’s hard to tell if we’re living in a tragedy or a farce.
One of my all-time favorite artists. Today's crop of crap cannot compare.
RIP, Thin White Duke - you'll be missed.

The single Lazarus from his last album Blackstar is damn creepy!

It's wild, and over the top, but the message is not creepy. Not really.
We should all hope to leave with that much panache in our own way.
Listened the that album three times now. It's interesting.

Sorry when I heard this sad news. I had no idea that he was suffering from cancer. Definitely a sad loss.
I keep my 2 feet on the ground, and my head in the twilight zone.

He always was wild and over the top, just like me. I didn't say the message is creepy, I said the video is creepy because it sends shivers down my spine. The album cut doesn't bother me a bit, so it's not the ears but the eyes, visually creepy.

He saw it coming and was prepared, the cut is rather prophetic that way. As for me they'll just find me dead in here one day, so I'd better leave my tombstone legacy to be read as a eulogy at my funeral, "I don't know if he had panache, but at least he didn't have Pinocchio."

So have I, what I find just as interesting is that guy on the left is Dale Gribble.
