That's my home brew method.
I can't make nice enclosures out of wood or metal so I reuse cast aside ones.
RF Modulators and OTA DTC are some of my favorites to put "other" stuff in.
I put a 6 digit counter module in an old cable modem box that is obsolete and worthless.

All the world’s a stage, but obviously the play is unrehearsed and everybody is ad-libbing his lines. Maybe that’s why it’s hard to tell if we’re living in a tragedy or a farce.
Look around for my "Hacking the Heathkit 104 series" thread. I now have 4x complete SB-104s - a couple of them "A" models - and enough cases, spare boards and other goodies to homebrew my own line of accessories. Just running down a few assorted small parts (knobs, filters, etc.) and the project will begin in earnest.
