Man, I thought at first they had a malfunction. It isn't what you'd expect when you see it! That thing is pretty amazing...

It made a great sound, like a steam engine.
The rockets provided the lift and the circular spinning provided the stabilization to allow it to go straight up...... very neat! 8)
