Who DIDN'T operate during the contest last weekend - and why?

    Most creative excuse wins.

    I'll start. As mentioned elsewhere:

Contesters were clogging up my favorite frequency, and since the rig's mode switch and VFO were rusted into place I couldn't move. None of them would respond to my calls of "Up LID! Up LID!", either.

I couldn't operate the contest as PHOEBE was sitting on the logbook and bit my hand everytime I tried to reach for the VFO dial or the laptop keyboard

I was on 10 meter AM and 12 meter SSB DX.

10 meter AM on Sunday was hoot!

    Then, I went skiing. :wiggle:

I was stuck on 160 and doing the calculations and making the balun for the newfangled 29.5 foot vertical I now today finished.

The mother ship from my home planet Melmack dropped a load of supplies off and I was too busy sorting the quadloos to get involved in one of the indigenous earth puss bag contests.
