Encrypt everything. Even if you have nothing to hide. It increases the noise floor.

Radio Shack disappeared in Canada several years ago.They were bought out by another company and the name was changed to "The Source"

Check their website and you will really see no mention on electronic parts or the like.The writing was on the wall when most of our Radio Shack stores were turned into this thing called The Source!

Tandy folded here in the Netherlands 15 years back.
Had the COCO TRS 80 running RTTY on 2 meters and doing some other stuff then.
Parts were cheap as one of my friends worked there.

here in SF some stores were marked for closure well in advance of the holiday season. i'm not sure they have anything i want (well, maybe a new scanner ... but those probably won't be well priced).
