Fred, Eddie: is this a good deal?

Assuming it's working correctly, of course. HP 8558B spectrum analyzer.

All the world’s a stage, but obviously the play is unrehearsed and everybody is ad-libbing his lines. Maybe that’s why it’s hard to tell if we’re living in a tragedy or a farce.

I am not familiar with that particular piece, Carl. In looking around, the price appears to be good, but you will also need a mainframe to plug them in to for power etc. Fred would probably know which ones would work for you, and what would be an acceptable price. I wish I could be more help.

That one looks complete - I think you could run it as-is, unlike the 140 or similar units.

For the price you could probably re-list it on eBay if needed and recoup expenses should the unit not be what you're after.

Eddie, a quick Google search seems to indicate that this is a stand-alone setup.

Thanks, guys. I might pick this thing up.

I stand erected, as usual. If you get it, I hope it's a keeper for you.

You might look for some test equipment to test it.

    Don't get testy, now.
