    Christmas Tree

Here is a picture of our Christmas Tree. Took me 3 hours of work to put it up only to have the red lights to go out. Son-in-law is going to put the train set and village under it this weekend (He's working night turn this week) You can't tell from the picture, but it is on a platform.

I had a train set under ours once.My wife had an office X-mas party here and they wrecked it. I cried, put it away and never brought it out again. I was going to ask if you are a white x-mas light man. I've always used multi-color lights but my wife thinks they look garish. We had to compromise. White lights on the X-mas tree and I get to put colored lights up outside.

I always do my lights red, white, and blue. Maybe when my son-in-law comes over, I have a gizmo that I track down a burned out lights. If that don't work we will take it apart and add red lights. As far as the train I have to have one under it my kids and grand kids are use to having one.

LOL... I have an ancient set of carbon filament Ghristmas lights up in the attic. They are the kind where the bulbs are sealed at the top like vacuum tubes. They still work too. Used them one year as a novelty but it is a short string of lamps so it doesn't add a whole lot of decor. They also get pretty hot.

Most people around here have switched to LED lights but a few people are still using the older screw in incandescent kinds. Frankly I prefer appearance of the incandescent type to the LED's..

We figured out a way to do without the candles:

All the world’s a stage, but obviously the play is unrehearsed and everybody is ad-libbing his lines. Maybe that’s why it’s hard to tell if we’re living in a tragedy or a farce.

The same can be said about Thanksgiving. Its just not the same if there are no reports of someone setting their trailer on fire by deep frying the bird.

Almost as cheery as a flaming tree!
