Many moons ago (1950's-1960's) my Dad was working for a small machine shop in lower Manhattan. One day this short, thin, elderly, well dressed man comes to the shop to talk with the boss. After talking with the boss for a bit the man gets up and politely leaves. What was it about ? The man offered his services as an arsonist. Or perhaps a broker for an arsonist. For a fee he offered to burn the place down so the boss can collect on the insurance. Fortunately the boss turned down his offer as the company was doing quite well with government contracts, etc.
I keep my 2 feet on the ground, and my head in the twilight zone.
