No! This is the road to Perdition! America is doomed, DOOMED, I tell you!

All the world’s a stage, but obviously the play is unrehearsed and everybody is ad-libbing his lines. Maybe that’s why it’s hard to tell if we’re living in a tragedy or a farce.

The key phrase here is "IF passed" and already they ASS U ME federal prohibition will go down the gurgler. I hope they have buckets and mops ready in case it backs up, frankly I'm not so overly optimistic and like with everything have a wait and see attitude.

All I can say is bravo, but the Repuglicans stuffed so much noxious garbage into this funding bill at the last second that I suspect it's DOA. The provision to allow companies to reduce private pensions is one such nefarious item. Also, raising the limit so the Koch Brothers can donate 10 times as much to the next election war chests isn't sitting well (note: that's the one that's getting most of the lip service because the Democratic leadership is more worried about losing elections than saving pensioners).

The Financial Times of London is reporting that the deal has gone through. Wonder who got sold down the river this time?

Couldn't they attach a rider to the bill calling for the disbanding of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, etc ?? That would surely stop those liberals in their commie tracks.

    With everyone constantly baked:

    1) Food sales go WAY up. Congress pats itself on the back!
    2) Police have time to combat other crimes. Statistics get better. Congress pats itself on the back!

    And, most importantly:

    3) Congress can do what it wants, and nobody will care. Well, as long as they have the money for item #1...
