telling the truth about them." - Adlai Stevenson (1900-1965)

At some point in the last 20 years, the left moved to the center, and the right moved into a mental institution
They look cool, but the Chinese were pretty sloppy on the design of those things. The US could do better if we'd just put forth the effort.
All the world’s a stage, but obviously the play is unrehearsed and everybody is ad-libbing his lines. Maybe that’s why it’s hard to tell if we’re living in a tragedy or a farce.
big problem is so many rails have been abandoned ripped up and scrapped. At one time where I live we was connected by rail to Chicago to Cincy to Indy to ft Wayne to Dayton
it started getting removed way before I was born.
I AM THE VOICE OF THE VOICELESS!
I suspect that nothing will change in this country as long as elections are bought by the people who sell us gasoline.
Looks pretty ugly to me. And no, transportation in the USA is not failing. I can catch a train almost anytime, day or night, and be reliably on time to my destination in modern, efficient, train cars. Not to mention the NYC subway over 100+ years old yet with all new cars and newer ones on arrival. Not to mention direct cab signalling integrated together with standard wayside block signals and the adoption of ATC operations/ And in addition to reliably and safely transporting almost 2 billion riders per year we still have time to run vintage trains and holiday specials for those that enjoy a ride with some old time class.

I keep my 2 feet on the ground, and my head in the twilight zone.
