Nice find. Does it invite you to explore the airwaves?

Duluth? Bucko, you can get Tierra Del Fuego!
All the world’s a stage, but obviously the play is unrehearsed and everybody is ad-libbing his lines. Maybe that’s why it’s hard to tell if we’re living in a tragedy or a farce.

This young lad was happy to pick up Akron: on each sideband.

Akron is a major brand of motor oil and engine lubricants, in Mexico.
The young man is Rogelio Lopez, a top NASCAR Mexico driver.

    Very nice.

I need a bigger shack, and then I can try and score another HT-37 & SX-111 combo...

good choice on HT-37/SX-111 combo.....when I upgraded to General class in 1957, my Dad bought
us that exact combo....we worked the World with that set up.....

I acquired a very nice HT-37 that already had the QSK mods done when I got relicensed in 2005...
and then found a nice original SX-110 on flea-pay for $100 to go with it...decided on the SX-110
for the general coverage Rx as I like to do some SWL'ng as well as hamming it up on HF....

I still fire it up every Thursday evening for the New Mexico Boatanchor Net & will be using them
again for the upcoming Classic Exchange...
