Ah yes, a DX-100 and R-390 mate perfectly! BTW the 390 is the best AM receiver I ever restored and operated, easy to work on and the manual saves your hair. I can give you some tips on both if you're interested, but the audio mods to the DX are basic Timtron and he has them documented on the internet making them easy peasy. One last thing, I prefer the DX you have Ren to the B because the auxiliary loading caps the original doesn't have are rather touchy and prone to failure. Having only the air variable for loading makes it a bit of a fine adjustment but livable. Add a Dow Key relay and you're off to the races!

It has been HIGHLY suggested to me that even if the thing powers up that I should consider at the least, re-doing all the electrolytics in it. As for the sticker. kinda chicken to do it. be my luck I use goo-gone and more than the sticker comes up. may try WD-40 first with a plastic scraper and go from there.
Yeah...I'm a furry...Deal with it!
Not to hijack...but does that kitteh have an ear notched?

Or you can VERY gently and carefully peel/scrape it off with a knife, it's worked for me on that very rugged boat anchor paint. When you replace the electrolytics up the voltage a bit (B+ will go up) and replace the rectifier tubes with solid state. That way you'll reduce heat and transformer load not having to furnish heater power. That's my old NC-303! It's a great receiver all around and like the R-390 mates well with the DX, but what will you call the babies?
